Gray's Sedge (Carex Grayi) has spiked flowers that look like the medieval weapon of the same name. Soil moisture is a direct correlation to the healthiness of the plant, particularly as it grows. Established plants are drought tolerant except for prolonged periods without moisture. Clump forming - 12 to 40 inches in height. Period of Interest is from June through December.
