Product Description

Also known as marsh straw sedge, narrow-leaved oval sedge, quill sedge (Carex tenera) is common in habitats that include woodlands, areas adjacent to semi-shaded vernal pools, savannas, prairies and along rivers, powerline clearances in wooded areas, wet prairies (including sand & dolomite prairies), marshes, swamps, bogs, gravelly seeps, edges of ponds and lakes, and ditches. This sedge is distinguished from similar sedges by it's narrow leaves.  Prefers full sun to light shade.  Moist to Mesic conditions.
