Pendicularis canadensis - Wood Betony has yellow, showy flowers that are easy to spot in full boom in meadows in the spring because of the unusual flowers and foliage, it has a striking appearance.
Habitats include mesic to dry black soil prairies, open woodlands and sandy woodlands. Savannas, sandy savannas, thickets, and borders of lakes are also favorite habitats.
